USA Out For Revenge As They Face Ghana
USA’s revenge for winning Group C was a date with African side Ghana, and not Germany – who will face England in their last 16 encounter. This was the first time in many years that, the United States were through to the last 16. Yankees’ coach Bob Bradley, also father of his son Michael Bradley, will not underestimate this afternoon’s match with Ghana hoping to build on his side’s momentum.
Just four years ago in the World Cup in Germany, USA were needing a point to qualify from their group and coincidentally, they met Ghana and they lost 0 – 2 to the side and was sent home as an early departure from the World Cup.
Bob Bradley are targeting a place in a quarter-final match with either Uruguay or South Korea, depending on who wins the match. He is not trying to have a repeat of that Germany ‘06 loss to Ghana which sent them back home.
Our Odds: USA (2.70), Draw (3.10), Ghana (2.87).
Prediction: USA has shown their real face recently, so I’ll say a 2-1 victory to the Yanks.
