Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told the media that there is a slim chance of Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer joining the Gunners.
Arsenal have been linked with a £4 million move for Schwarzer, 37, after having reportedly had a £2 million offer rejected.
When asked whether he was interested in a deal, though, Wenger said: “Not really. We are still looking at various situations, but I would not like to come out on any individuals.
“At the moment, in pre-season, there is no number one – you have to give a chance to everyone to show how good he is. You cannot decide that today.”
Lukasz Fabianski played in goal for the 4-0 friendly win at Barnet on Saturday, with Manuel Almunia absent due to illness.
Wenger also said defenders Gallas and Silvestre, out of contract this summer, will play elsewhere next season, while he remains unsure whether Sol Campbell will stay on.
“I believe that Gallas and Silvestre will sign somewhere else,” Wenger said. “Sol Campbell is still in no man’s land at the moment.”
