Liverpool have reportedly accepted a £5m offer from Italian club Fiorentina to buy left back Emiliano Insua.
Insua, 21, has been a regular for the Liverpool first team during Rafael Benitez’s final season but Roy Hodgson apparently agreed the £5m fee for the defender as he tries to ‘reshape’ his team.
The left-back has left the Reds’ Swiss training camp for Italy to discuss personal matters.
A Liverpool spokesman said: “We have agreed a fee for the sale of Emiliano Insua to Fiorentina and given them permission to speak with the player. Emiliano has now left our Swiss training camp and we’ll make further comment when appropriate.”
Roy Hodgson will have short of options for the left-back position, as Fabio Aurelio left the club following his contract expiry.
